DineEZ ("we", "our", "us") collects information you provide when creating an account or filling in our contact form, including your name, email address, phone number, birthday, and restaurant details. We also collect order history, loyalty reward progress, and dining session data associated with your account. Technical data such as your IP address and browser type may also be collected when you visit our platform.
We use your information to operate your DineEZ customer account, process dining and Order & Collect transactions, deliver loyalty rewards, respond to demo requests, improve our platform, and communicate about your account. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is stored securely on Base44's platform infrastructure located in the European Union. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Anonymised order records may be retained by restaurants for their own reporting purposes after account deletion.
You have the right to delete your DineEZ customer account at any time. You can do this directly from within the app:
Upon deletion, your personal information (name, email, birthday) is immediately anonymised, your active loyalty rewards are expired, and any open dining sessions are closed. Anonymised transaction records may be retained by restaurants for their own accounting and reporting. Your account will be immediately inaccessible and you will be signed out.
If you are unable to access the app, you may also request account deletion by emailing hello@dineez.co.za with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 business days.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. South African residents have rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@dineez.co.za.
